REVIEW: Despite all the hype surrounding "The Fate of the Furious", there aren't too many good things to say about it. There are very few interesting plot points which will keep the audiences seated during this long movie. The only thing that can, and will, interest the audience is the intense screenplay which this movie is filled with. Of course, that is to be expected from "The Fast and the Furious" movies. If not the plot or character development, the audience will stay in their seats for the stunt sequences and needless to say, everyone's favorite part: car races. Get ready to strap your seatbelts (or just your couch) for yet another adrenaline-pumping, tire-screeching, ignition-throttling cluster of a movie revolving around action, car and more cars.
Despite the series obviously being based around cars and illegal races, "The Fate of the Furious" focuses a lot on another illegal habit: hacking. Since the villain herself is a powerful hacker, there are lots of scenes which showcase high-level hacking. An important one was where Cipher manages to hack all autonomous cars by reprogramming them in auto-driven modes. Coming back to the screenplay, it really is what binds the movie together and gives the movie all the entertainment it is worth. While one aspect alone doesn't sound as appealing to save a movie's grace, just ask yourself: Why else would you watch any "The Fast and the Furious" movies? 'High-speed car races' is really the only answer. Overall, this movie couldn't catch as much of an attraction like the previous sequels, but cars and actions, like always, were on point.
