CELEBRATING 28 YEARS OF ‘THE DAILY STAR'

The Daily Star had recently celebrated its 28th anniversary with the theme, “Journalism without Fear or Favour.” The gala event began with the national anthem, followed by the screening of a documentary on the history of Bangladesh and the achievements it has made so far. Mahfuz Anam, Editor and Publisher of The Daily Star, in his speech, focused on the importance of free media, freedom of the press and freedom of thoughts to drive the country forward.  On this auspicious occasion, many politicians, academics, corporate personalities, foreign dignitaries, journalists and development workers graced the ceremony. Many shining stars from the world of showbiz also joined the celebrations.
