Six injured as bus plummets into road-side canal in Sunamganj
Six people were injured as a bus plunged into a road-side canal in Janigaon area of Sunamganj Sadar upazila earlier today.
The accident took place around 10:30am when the driver of the vehicle lost control over the steering, reports our Sylhet correspondent, quoting Sunamganj fire service's Station Officer Newton Das.
Fire Service and Civil Defence rescued the six people, three of whom returned home after receiving primary treatment and the other three were admitted at the hospital.
A team of divers from Sylhet and two units of Sunamganj Sadar and South Sunamganj fire services worked till 1:20pm to search for any missing person in the canal.
However, nobody was found and the search operation was declared over, Das added.
