Vehicular movement halted for 3hrs as trees fall on Dhaka-Ctg highway
Vehicular movement on Dhaka-Chattogram highway was halted for three hours tonight (October 25, 2022) as trees collapsed at Daudkandi and Bhaberchar area due to the squally weather caused by Cyclone Sitrang.
Traffic movement from Daudkandi to Sonargaon was disrupted from 8:30pm to 11pm, our Cumilla correspondent reports quoting Daudkandi Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Jahangir Hossain.
Several trees fell in Dhitpur, Hasanpur and Eliotganj areas of Daudkandi area, the OC said adding that transport movement resumed after members of Fire brigade and highway police cleared the highway.
