Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) today formed a six-member probe committee to investigate the present condition of the Siddikbazar building in Dhaka's Gulistan where a huge explosion took place yesterday.

The committee headed by its member, (development) Major (retd) Shamsuddin Ahmed Chowdhury, will submit the report within three working days, said Rajuk Chairman Anisur Rahman Miah.

He said the committee is already in the field and they will give a report on whether the condition of the building is still usable or not.

The technical body visited the spot tonight and inspected various parts of the ravaged building and its adjacent buildings with the help of fire service.

Three representatives of Rajuk, a former DG of Fire Service and Civil Defence, and two professors of Buet are the members of the committee, he said.
