Jubair drafted in for final ODI
Bangladesh have added leg-spinner Jubair Hossain to the squad for the third and final match of the ZA'N ZEE Ice Cream ODI series against India.
It is understood that the 19-year-old leg-spinner has been brought on to add variation to the bowling line ahead of the final match which takes place today.
Faruque Ahmed, the chief selector, confirmed The Daily Star about the inclusion of the young bowler yesterday.
"He has been included to increase the bowling options. The team management asked for variation in bowling department and that's why we brought in Jubair. We will have a look at the wicket tomorrow (Wednesday) and take a call on him," Faruque said.
Jubair has so far played two ODIs for Bangladesh – both against Zimbabwe in November-December last year – where he took four wickets.
Bangladesh lead the three-match ODI series against India 2-0.
