Bangladesh drop to seventh in ICC ODI rankings
Bangladesh have dropped to seventh position in the ICC ODI rankings after Pakistan’s Champions Trophy victory.
Going into the tournament Bangladesh were in sixth position with Sri Lanka at seventh and Pakistan the lowest ranked among the teams participating in the Champions Trophy at eighth.
Pakistan’s victory against Sri Lanka in the semifinals and against India in the finals sees them climb up the ladder into sixth.
Bangladesh had 93 points before the tournament began and after their victory against New Zealand and their loss against India in the semifinals their point tally stands at 94 points.
Pakistan currently have 95 points and Sri Lanka who dropped to eighth have 93 points.
