Riders fined for slow over rate
Rangpur Riders were fined for a slow over rate during their Bangladesh Premier League match against the defending champion Dhaka Dynamites on Tuesday.
Rangpur skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza was fined 40 per cent of his match fee while the other players were docked 20 per cent of their match fees as match referee Samiur Rahman imposed the fines after the game. Rangpur were found to be two overs short of the mark.
The Riders won a thrilling contest against the Dynamites, with the game going down to the wire courtesy of some fine death-over bowling by Sri Lanka's Thisara Perera, Lasith Malinga, and Bangladesh's Mashrafe and Rubel Hossain.
