Visiting Australia cricket team will be given VVIP protocol during their upcoming two-match Test series with the hosts starting from August 27 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka, police said today.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Chief Asaduzzaman Mia said, "DMP has drawn up a foolproof security plan ahead of the test series."

Dispelling apprehensions and security concerns, he said, "Both Aussies and Tigers will be given VVIP protocol."

He also envisioned a multi-layer security measures in and out the cricket ground.

The Australian cricket team arrived in Bangladesh last night for their first Test series since 2006 and the Aussie skipper said that he was anticipating a challenging series.
