Bangladesh A win by 76 runs to complete series sweep
Bangladesh A won by 76 runs in the last match to complete a series sweep over Ireland A at Cox's Bazar today.
Having been asked to bat first, Bangladesh A put on a formidable total of 286 runs on the board courtesy of an unbeaten 101-ball 102 from right-handed batsman Yasir Ali.
Bangladesh A lost an early wicket inside the first five overs but a fourth-wicket partnership of 129 runs between Sahdman Islam (68) and centurion Yasir Ali helped the hosts put up a commendable total.
Ireland A faced early upheaval as they lost two wickets within the first ten overs. A team high 80-ball 66 from Jack Tector along with John Anderson provided some foundation to the Ireland A innings.
Pacer Abu Hider, who took three wickets, removed Tector in the 30th over. After Tector's departure Ireland A were eventually bowled out for 210 in 43.4 overs. Spinner Sunzamul Islam grabbed two wickets for 28 runs.
The result ensures that Bangladesh A clinched the five-match series 4-0. The first match of the series was abandoned and for the fourth game of the series both sides agreed upon playing a T-20 match.
