Courtney Walsh to lead pace bowling camp
Bangladesh bowling coach Courtney Walsh will lead a special pace bowling camp according to local media reports.
Chief selector Minhazul Abedin has said that the intention to carry out a special camp involving the fast bowlers was already in the works.
The list for Walsh’s campaign will contain 15 pacers, However, the exact date for the start of the camp will be announced after a discussion with the West Indies legend.
Walsh, who was initially scheduled to return on July 20, will be back five days earlier to start the camp.
The fitness and conditioning camp have alredy started on July 10 under coach Mario Villavarayan.
Pacer Rubel Hossain, who underwent surgery is likely to join the 29-member preliminary squad in a few weeks.
Tamim Iqbal is expected to join the squad soon after the left-hander cut short his Essex tenure and returned home.
Head coach Chandika Hathurusingha will return to Bangladesh at the end of July and the skill training will start once the Sri Lankan joins the camp.
