‘Involvement can keep the cold away’
Bangladesh's ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan put on a good showing with both the bat and the ball and also on the field yesterday as Bangladesh usurped West Indies by eight wickets at Dublin.
Bangladesh did not have the best of starts as Windies openers were taking the game away from the Tigers. But the pacers came back in the end and grabbed some wickets as Windies managed 261 even after a fantastic ton from Shai Hope.
He said that the spinners deserve credit for turning around the match. "Our bowling partnership was good and the breakthroughs came at that time. The way they started, at one stage it seemed like they would score 300 to 320. The role we two played was important and then everyone backed us," the Test and T20 skipper said.
The cold weather is especially a problem for the Tigers in Ireland. Earlier, skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza had declared that it was not feasible to adjust with the cold and rather they have to adjust to what they do to keep the cold away. Shakib had his own way of dealing with the cold.
"You can find ways to keep yourself warm. If you are too involved with the match then you might not feel the cold too much. I tried that myself and maybe others did too. If you can be involved with the match they I think you can adjust to the cold," he concluded.
