Tamim to miss third SA ODI
Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal will miss the third ODI against South Africa on Sunday due to an aggravation of the thigh muscle injury that kept him out of the second Test and first ODI, team management in South Africa informed this afternoon.
Tamim had played the second ODI, during which he scored 23 in Bangladesh's 104-run loss.
Tamim is set to undergo a scan later today in East London, the venue for the third and final ODI. He did not take part in the team's practice session today at Buffalo Park from 9:30 in the morning.
He is set to undergo a scan at 2:00 pm and the results will likely be available in the evening today.
He had fist sustained a left thigh muscle tear while batting on the first day of the three-day tour match in Benoni on September 21.
Tamim was doubtful for the first Test, but played anyway and aggravated the injury, leading him to miss the second Test.
It seems like the same thing happened with him playing the second ODI.
