Bangladesh Women's team win their first ever T20 match against India following their victory against Pakistan on June 4.

Tigresses played fantastic cricket to thrash India by seven wickets and picked up their second win in the tournament.

Having won the toss, India elected to bat first but some fantastic bowling from the Tigresses restricted India to 141 for seven with Rumana Ahmed picking up three wickets for 21 runs in four overs.

Tigresses chased down the target set by India in fine fashion with two deliveries and seven wickets to spare as Rumana and Fargana Hoque starred in a 93-run fourth wicket stand. Rumana, after contributing with the ball, played a brilliant 34-ball 42 knock with six fours. Fargana, coming at three down, top-scored with 52 off 46 ball, hitting five fours and a six.

Earlier, opener Shamima Sultana gave the Tigresses a positive start as she struck a 23-ball 33 with seven fours.



Bangladesh have four points from three matches and will play their next match tomorrow, June 7 against Thailand Women. Tigresses are fourth in the points table with India, Sr Lanka and Pakistan sitting at first, second and third respectively. All the top four teams have four points.

Following their defeat to Bangladesh, Pakistan managed a 23-run victory in another T20 Asia Cup fixture today. Bismah Maroof's unbeaten half-century and a career-best 5/21 from Nida Dar helped Pakistan beat Sri Lanka .
