Bayern snap up Renato, Hummels
Just half-an-hour after Bayern Munich announced the signing of Renato Sanches from Portugese club Benfica on their website, it was announced of Borrussia Dortmund’s website that their captain and centre-back Mats Hummels was also bound for the Bavarians.
Sanches was linked to Manchester United, Arsenal and various other clubs, but in the end it was Bayern who prized away the 18-year-old for an undisclosed fee, although Sanches had a release clause of 35 million pounds on his latest Benfica contract.
Meanwhile, Bayern have signed Hummels for a fee reported to be in the region of 30 million pounds.
Hummels was previously at Bayern Munich, graduating from their youth academy and getting into the first team, although he failed to nail down a spot and consequently moved to Dortmund.
