BPL begins on November 22

The third edition of Bangladesh Premier League will open with a spectacular show on November 22, 2015.

The first match of the glitzy and glamourous tournament will be held on November 24, reports Prothom Alo.

The match schedule of the only T-20 domestic competition of Bangladesh was released to the media during the press conference held at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium today.

Six teams will participate in this year’s BPL. The ownership details of six teams representing Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Rangpur, Barisal and Comilla were announced at the media briefing.

Beximco Group won the franchise rights for Dhaka. Owners of Barisal team in the last two editions of BPL, Alif Group bought the rights to Sylhet this time round.

Rangpur will be backed by I Sports. Royal Sports own the Comilla team. Barisal’s franchise went to Axiom while DBL Group got Chittagong.

BRB Cables won the stadium rights and will be the title sponsor of the third edition of BPL.
