A brilliant series: Mashrafe
Bangladesh's inspirational one-day captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza terms the two-Test series against Australia as brilliant.
He also lauded the performance of Bangladesh despite the seven-wicket defeat in the second Test at Chittagong today. The Tigers won the first Test in Dhaka by 20 runs. The series ended in a 1-1 draw.
"Well done Boys. It's always hard to continue fighting team like Australia especially when they have previous healthy records in Test cricket," Mashrafe wrote in his facebook post.
The pace bowler also termed Aussie off-spinner Nathan Lyon as a special bowler.
"Lyon was special. It was not about the wicket it was skill, to me quite unplayable. He makes so much doubt on batsman mind, that's why the pressure shots come," Mashrafe wrote about Lyon, who took 13 wickets in the second Test.
"Over all that was a brilliant series. Congrats for the first Test win against Australia. Keep it up boys, proud off u guys," he concluded.
