BSJA votes in new office bearers

Syed Saidur Rahman Shamim of Channel I has been elected president of the Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association (BSJA).

The veteran sports journalist got 47 out of 78 votes casted as the sports organisation held its elections and annual general meeting at its headquarters yesterday.

Other elected office bearers are: vice presidents -- Raihan Al Mugni of Dhaka Tribune, Arifur Rahman Babu of Jagonews, Anisur Rahman of The Daily Star; executive members --Syed Mohammad Pithu of Independent, Aghore Mondal of Dipto TV, Subrato Saha of NTV, Mazhar Uddin of Dhaka Tribune, Arafat Jubair of Sangbad, Minhaz Uddin of Dhaka Tribune.

Junate Hossain of ETV and Abu Sadat of Maasranga TV were elected unopposed as general secretary and finance secretary respectively.
