Saif Sporting Club became champions in the SA Group Premier Division Chess League at the NSC Tower Auditorium Lounge yesterday. Saif SC earned maximum 18 points from nine matches to ensure the title with a round of matches remaining.

GM Kovalev Vladislav of Belarus, GM Eltaj Safarli of Azerbaijan, GM Ziaur Rahman and GM Enamul Hossain Razib played for Saif Sporting Club this year.

Bangladesh Navy earned 15 points from nine matches to ensure their runners-up status. Sheikh Russel Chess Club is in third position with 13 points while Golden Sporting Club follow them in fourth with 12 points.
