Three players shared the lead after the eighth round of the CJKS-Four H Group-Diamond Cement Grandmaster's Chess Tournament at the MA Aziz Stadium auditorium in Chittagong yesterday.

FM Fahad Rahman, IM Dhulipalla Bala Chandra Prasad and Neelash Saha of India were leading the table with six points each while GM Ziaur Rahman was in second position with 5.5 points. GM Abdullah Al Rakib, GM Niaz Murshed and GM Lalith Babu of India shared the third position with five points each.

In the eighth round, Fahad drew against IM Bala Chandra, Zia drew against GM Lalith, Neelash beat FM Taibur Rahman, GM Rakib beat FM Abdul Malek while GM Niaz beat FM Mehdi Hasan Parag.

The ninth and penultimate round will be held today at the same venue.
