Grand Master Ziaur Rahman climbed up to second position in the 16th Delhi Open International Rating Chess tournament after returning to winning ways in the eighth round in New Delhi yesterday.

Zia, who was beaten in the previous round to slip to the third position, beat Russian GM Ivan Rozum after 51 moves having played with black pieces. Zia is in second position along with four other players with 6.5 points from eight matches. The highest rated GM of the country will play his next game against Dutch GM Sergey Tiviakov today.
