BCB to fund swimming federation

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided to allocate Tk one crore to Bangladesh Swimming Federation (BSF) for development of the sport, a BSF official said yesterday.

“We have been informed about the monetary package from the BCB today [Monday]. The amount of Tk one crore will boost our ongoing talent hunt programme and help us organise national swimming championship and coaches' training programme which will start from December 7,” BSF general secretary Rafiz Uddin said.  

The BCB had earlier announced to donate the same amount to Bangladesh Hockey Federation.
