Kohli and Co seek solace in nature
The 333-run defeat at the hands of Australia in the first Test in Pune, that too after being unbeaten in 20 Tests at home, must have come as a shock to the system to the Indian cricket team.
To overcome that shock, skipper Virat Kohli and cohorts left the rough of the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium and Steve O'Keefe behind to rough it on a nature trail ahead of the second Test starting on March 4, reported NDTV on their website yesterday.
Judging from their Instagram posts, Kohli was joined by the likes of Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Ajinkya Rahane and his wife and Abhinav Mukund. ccording to the report, the location of the superstar cricketers was discovered as spin-bowling all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja tagged his location in an Instagram post as the Tamhini Ghat Trek, situated about 80 kilometres from Pune. Kohli's Instagrqam post read: "Everyday is a blessing and an opportunity. Be grateful and keep moving ahead." And moving ahead is what they will have to do. A nature trek seems quite apt; the world's number one Test team being walloped by a team unfamiliar with local conditions and a spinner often described as steady is certainly off the beaten track.
