Mushy suffers hamstring injury
Mushfiqur Rahim suffered a strain in his left hamstring during the first ODI between Bangladesh and New Zealand at Hagley Oval, Christchurch today.
When Mushy attempted a risky single in the 38th over, he had to put in the dive but fell awkwardly trying to clutch his leg. After he received medical attention, he hobbled off the field with 42 runs to his name.
The medical team will keep Mushfiqur Rahim under observation for 48 hours, and go for the scan afterwards. According to our reporter, he is now using ice-packs to relieve the pain.
Bangladesh fell short by 77 runs chasing 341 against New Zealand in the first match of the series. The second game will be held on December 29 at Nelson.
