'Never thought we'd lose to Bangladesh'
Legendary Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar admitted that he never imagined his side would lose to Bangladesh, something which became a reality in the 2007 World Cup.
In his recently-released biopic, Sachin says that he had warned BCCI officials about the team being out of shape and not up for the tournament. He also said that senior members of the team had reservations about the appointment of Greg Chappell as head coach.
India endured a terrible time at the event, being knocked out in the group stages after defeats to both Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
“We were there as a team, but weren't a team. I had even told a Board official that the team wasn't in great shape. I had never thought that we could lose a match against Bangladesh," Tendulkar adds.
