Aamir released from Pakistan squad for Bangladesh Tests
Pakistan have released right-arm fast bowler Aamir Jamal from the Test squad ahead of the series against Bangladesh as the pacer has yet to fully recover from his injury.
Aamir, who was included in the squad subject to fitness clearance, has been advised to work on his fitness at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore.
Aamir is recovering from a back injury he sustained while playing county cricket this year.
Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had released leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed and batter Kamran Ghulam from the 17-member squad. With Aamir's omission, the squad size has now been reduced to 14.
The first Test between Bangladesh and hosts Pakistan will commence from 21 August at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
