Taskin Ahmed's heroics with the ball was followed up by determined knocks from captain Anamul Haque and Ryan Burl as Durbar Rajshahi thumped Dhaka Capitals by seven wickets to pick up their first BPL win this season. Rajshahi had lost their first BPL fixture by four wickets against Fortune Barishal.

Blanketed by foggy conditions, Rajshahi chased down Dhaka's 174 for 9 with 11 deliveries to spare. Taskin was the star of the show, recording the best spell in BPL history by picking up seven wickets for 19 runs.

Stephen Eskinazi hit a 29-ball 46 while Shahadat Hossain Dipu struck a 41-ball 50 to help Dhaka to a challenging score.

Rajshahi lost opener Mohammad Haris for 12, out caught at slip off Mustafizur Rahman. Anamul himself could have returned to the dugout early only for Liton Das to drop him behind the stumps. Yet, when Mukidul Islam Mugdho removed Jishan Alam for naught, Rajshahi looked in a spot of bother.

Yasir Ali and Bijoy strung together a 42-run stand before Yasir fell to Alauddin Babu in the 10th over. It was Burl and Bijoy who notched an unbeaten 106-run partnership for the fourth wicket to secure the win. Bijoy took advantage of some loose bowling to up the ante, scoring a 46-ball 73 while Burl remained unbeaten on a 33-ball 55.
