Change in match timings for Asia Cup
With less than four weeks remaining before the start of the Asia Cup, the organisers have made changes in the match timings.
The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) had previously announced the schedule of the tournament, starting from August 30, with timings of each game different from one another.
However, according to broadcasting channel Star Sports, all the matches will now take place at Indian time 3:00pm and Bangladesh time 3.30pm.
Pakistan will host four matches while Sri Lanka host nine matches of the Asia Cup. The final of the tournament is scheduled on September 17.
India, Pakistan and Nepal are placed at group A while Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan will battle it out in group B.
The high voltage India-Pakistan match will take place in Kandy, Sri Lanka on September 2.
The two group matches of India will take place in Sri Lanka. The top two teams from each group will reach the Super four stage. Lahore will host the first game of the Super four stage while the remaining matches will take place in Colombo.
A total of 13 matches will be played in the Asia Cup and the tournament will be played in the fifty over format keeping the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup in mind.
