Hridoy asks for NOC to play in LPL
Bangladesh batter Towhid Hridoy has asked for a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to play in the Lanka Premier League in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh Cricket Board's (BCB) cricket operations manager Shahriar Nafees confirmed to the Daily Star on Monday.
If he is granted the NOC, the 22-year-old would feature for the defending champions Jaffna Kings for three matches.
"Hridoy got an offer to play in the Lanka Premier League. They told us officially and asked for the NOC. But the board is yet to decide on giving him the NOC. The offer is not for the entire tournament," Nafees told The Daily Star.
The LPL will run from July 30 to August 20.
Bangladesh have no matches scheduled within that timeframe but the Tigers would have a practice camp starting on July 30 keeping the Asia Cup in mind.
