Liton, Rony depart inside the powerplay
Bangladesh's chase was pegged back early by the loss of both openers inside the powerplay leaving them two down for 32 after the end of the first six while chasing 117 against England in the second T20I of the three-match series at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
Liton, who managed a run-a-ball nine, was the first to go as he tried to loft a short delivery from left-arm pacer Sam Curran over deep square-leg in the third over. But the right-handed batter didn't get enough on it as he was held out by Phil Salt leaving the Tigers at 17 for the loss of one after the end of the third over.
His fellow opener Rony Talukdar perished for a 14-ball nine in the sixth over when he tried to go over mid-on.
Archer managed to get some extra bounce off a back-of-a-length delivery which Rony tried to take on but he miscued it and it was cushioned by Moeen Ali at mid-on.
Najmul Hossain Shanto and Towhid Hridoy were at the crease with the former unbeaten on an 11-ball 10, while Hrdoy was not out on one.
