Mayers, Hridoy power Barishal to comfortable win against Sylhet
Kyle Mayers and Towhid Hridoy put on a 116-run stand to ease Fortune Barishal to a seven-wicket win over Sylhet Strikers in a Bangladesh Premier League group-stage fixture at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
Mayers five fours and four sixes for an unbeaten 31-ball 59, while Hridoy put away eight fours and two sixes in a 27-ball 48 as Barishal chased down a paltry 126-run target in 10.3 overs.
Earlier, three wickets apiece from pacer Jahandad Khan and leg-spinner Rishad Hossain helped to bundle out Sylhet for 125 in 18.2 overs. Skipper Ariful Haque top-scored with a 29-ball 36.
The loss extended Sylhet's losing streak to three on the trot.
