Bangladesh all-rounder Mehedi Hasan Miraz has climbed to the second position in the ICC Test all-rounder rankings for the first time in his career today.

Miraz, who struck a 104 and claimed a five-wicket haul in Bangladesh's comprehensive win over Zimbabwe in Chattogram, reached career-best 327 rating points to overtake South African all-rounder Marco Jansen. India's Ravindra Jadeja is leading the Test all-rounders chart with 400 points.

Miraz, who won the player-of-the-match and the player-of-the-series awards in the Zimbabwe series, has also reached a career-best 55th position in the batting rankings after gaining eight slots while his second innings haul of five for 32 has lifted him two places to 24th position in the list led by India's Jasprit Bumrah.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh's left-handed opener Shadman Islam's first innings century has helped him gain 17 places to reach 60th position after also contributing in Bangladesh's victory by an innings and 106 runs in Chattogram that helped draw the series 1-1.

Left-arm spinner Taijul Islam is Bangladesh's highest ranked Test bowler, going up seven places to 16th after finishing with a nine-wicket match haul in the Chattogram Test.

Zimbabwe's Sean Williams is back in the top 20 after notching a half-century in the first innings, reaching a career-best-equalling 19th position.
