Mrittunjoy named in squad for away ODI series against Ireland
Bangladesh have named a 15-member squad for the ODI series against Ireland away to England with uncapped pacer Mrittunjoy Chowdhury in the lineup.
Spinner Taijul Islam has also been named in the squad after sitting out the Ireland ODI series at home. Afif Hossain had been excluded from the squad after the first two ODIs against Ireland at home recently and the left-handed batter did not make it into the squad for the series which is part of the ICC ODI Super League.
Taskin Ahmed is injured and has been rested from the away series against Ireland.
Bangladesh have also named Shakib Al Hasan and Liton Das in the squad, with the latter slated to play the upcoming series after returning from the IPL. The three-match ODI series will be played at Chelmsford's Cloud County Ground on May 9, 12 and 14th respectively.
Squad: Tamim Iqbal (Captain), Liton Das, Rony Talukdar, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Towhid Hridoy, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Yasir Ali, Mehedi Hasan Miraz, Taijul Islam, Ebadot Hossain, Shoriful Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, Hasan Mahmud and Mrittunjoy Chowdhury.
