Nahid, 11 others named in IPL’s final auction list

Bangladesh pace sensation Nahid Rana and 11 others from the country were named in the final auction list of the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League, starting next year.  

Nahid, priced at INR 75 lakhs, will go under the hammer alongside Mustafizur Rahman (2 crores), Rishad Hossain (75 lakhs), Liton Das (75 lakhs), Towhid Hridoy (75 lakhs), Taskin Ahmed (1 crore), Shakib Al Hasan (1 crore), Mehedi Hasan Miraz (1 crore), Shoriful Islam (75 lakhs), Tanzim Sakib (75 lakhs), Sheikh Mahedi Hasan (75 lakhs), and Hasan Mahmud (75 lakhs) in the mega auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on November 24 and 25.

Out of the 574 Players, 366 are Indian and 208 are overseas, including 3 players from associate nations. The auction will include 318 Indian uncapped players and 12 uncapped overseas players.204 slots will be up for grabs with 70 available slots for overseas players. INR 2 Crore is the highest reserve price with 81 players opting to be in the highest bracket.

Left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman was the only Bangladesh cricketer to get picked in last edition's auction. He played nine matches for the Chennai Super Kings, taking 14 wickets at an economy rate of 9.26.
