Bangladesh all-rounder Sheikh Mahedi Hasan surged into the top 10 of the ICC T20I Bowling Rankings following a string of impressive performances in the Caribbean, where Bangladesh swept the T20I series against the West Indies 3-0.

Mahedi leaped 13 places to 10th position, courtesy of scalping series-high eight wickets, and joining him in the rankings surge are leg-spinner Rishad Hossain (six wickets) and pacer Hasan Mahmud (four).

Rishad climbed a whopping 21 spots to 17th, while Hasan Mahmud rose of 23 places to 24th, indicating that the Tigers bowling arsenal in the shortest format have the versatility to challenge the top teams in future.

Elsewhere, Jasprit Bumrah of India consolidated his position as the top-ranked Test bowler after a phenomenal 9-94 in Brisbane. Bumrah's tally of 904 points equals the record set by Ravichandran Ashwin in 2016, making it the joint-highest score ever achieved by an India Test bowler.
