Sriram appointed as Tigers’ technical consultant for WC
Sridharan Sriram has been appointed as the technical consultant of the Bangladesh team for the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup in India. The former Indian all-rounder will join the squad in Guwahati from the beginning of the Tigers World Cup journey.
The 47-year-old had previously worked with the Bangladesh team as the technical consultant in the Asia Cup T20 in the UAE, the tri-nation series in New Zealand along with the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia in 2022.
Sriram, who played eight ODI for India, was also the assistant coach of the Australian team from 2018 to 2022. From 2015 to 2018, Sriram worked as a consultant coach for Cricket Australia.
The Tigers are scheduled to travel to Guwahati for two practice matches of the World Cup, on September 29 and October 2 against Sri Lanka and England, respectively, before moving to Dharamshala for their tournament opener against Afghanistan on October 07.
