Taijul takes five as Tigers bundle out Ireland for 214
Bangladesh left-arm spinner Taijul Islam picked up his 11th five-wicket haul in Tests as his effort helped the Tigers bundle out Ireland for 214 in 77.2 overs in the final session of the first day of the one-off Test against Ireland at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Tuesday.
Taijul led the bowling attack as he gave away 58 runs from his 28 overs, including 10 maidens, for his fifer, while pacer Ebadot Hossain and off-spinner Mehedi Hasan Miraz picked two each.
Harry Tector top-scored with a 50 as he hit six fours and a maximum while stitching g a 74-run stand for the fifth wicket with Curtis Campher, who scored 34.
