Taskin keen on LPL stint
Taskin Ahmed has been sought by Dambulla Aura in the Lankan Premier League. If he is handed NOC, Taskin will play against Shakib Al Hasan and Mohammad Mithun who had been roped in by Galle Titans.
The LPL is set to get underway from July 30 and slated to be played till August 20.
Bangladesh national team will, however, hold a training camp ahead of the Asia Cup from July 31. The BCB will make a decision on Taskin's NOC after he applies officially.
"We know that Taskin got an offer but he hasn't officially applied for NOC yet. He let us know of his interest [to play] and the board will discuss the matter," BCB cricket operations manager Shahriar Nafees told The Daily Star today.
Taskin is currently playing in the Zim Afro T20 League for Bulawayo Braves and is the second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament with five wickets in three matches.
Taskin had the opportunity to play country cricket with Yorkshire but was not given NOC considering the workload ahead of a World Cup. He had also rejected bids from IPL's Lucknow Super Giants and PSL's Multan Sultans due to national team commitments.
