Tigers leave for Sri Lanka
Bangladesh team left the capital to play a three-match ODI series against hosts Sri Lanka from Hazrat Shahjalal Iniernational Airport at 12:45 pm today.
Bangladesh team will be lead by Tamim Iqbal on the tour as skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza was ruled out due to a hamstring injury that he suffered while bowling at the nets during Tigers' last training session ahead of the tour yesterday in Mirpur. All-rounder Forhad Reza was named as Mashrafe's replacement.
All-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin was also ruled out of the Sri Lanka tour with a lower back injury. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) informed in a media release yesterday that right-arm pacer Taskin Ahmed will be replacing injured Saifuddin in the squad.
Bangladesh play the three ODIs on 26th July, 28th July and 31st July respectively.
