Chattogram Challengers registered a 16-run victory after posting a mammoth 238 for four -- the highest in this edition of BBPL and second highest overall after Rangpur Riders' 239 for four against Chittagong Vikings in the previous edition at the same ground -- against Cumilla Warriors under the lights at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram today.

Despite a magnificent 38-ball 84 from Dawid Malan, Cumilla fell short on the day as they could manage to score 222 for seven. Chasing a mammoth total, Cumilla had lost three early wickets and were left struggling at 32 for three after 4.3 overs. However, Malan blitz in the middle had restored hope in the Cumilla dugout. Malan was exquisitie, smashing seven fours and five sixes before being dismissed in the 15th over. After that, skipper Dasun Shanaka smashed a 21-ball 37 at the death but could not help his side get over the line.

Earlier, explosive fifties from skipper Imrul kayes and Walton Chadwick helped Chattogram Challengers post a mammoth 238 for four.

Although Chattogram Challengers lost opener Lendl Simmons in the third over after being asked to bat first, it was a magnificent 85-run second wicket stand from Imrul and Avishka Fernando that set the tone for a high scoring contest. While Fernando was dismissed after a 27-ball 48 in the 11th over, Imrul kept on going as he smashed a 41-ball 62 laced with nine boundaries and a solitary six. Even Imrul's dismissal in the 14th over could not stop the flow of runs as Walton and Nurul Hasan plundered 54 runs in the last two overs to help Chattogram post the highest total of this edition so far. Walton remained unbeaten for a 27-ball 71 while Nurul scored an unbeaten 15-ball 25.
