PERFORMER OF THE DAY: UPUL THARANGA

After failing to make the most of the batsman friendly Galle pitch in the first innings, Tharanga learned from his mistakes and began his second innings on a more patient note. Initially he concentrated on getting singles and scored just six off his first 16 balls. However, he began to gain momentum after smashing Mehedi Hasan Miraz for a six in the eighth over. He never looked back from there, scoring his career's third century with eleven fours and two sixes.
