Prime Doleshwar win by 97 runs
A brilliant bowling performance from Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club saw them bowl out Mohammedan Sporting Club for 167 and win by 97 runs in the Super League match of the Dhaka Premier League at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium, Fatullah today.
After setting a Mohammedan a target of 265 runs, the Prime Doleshwar bowlers got the job done for the team.
Only Bipul Sharma’s innings of 48 from 47 balls allowed Mohammedan Sporting to save face.
Mohammedan lost early wickets as Rony Talukdar fell with the score at 2-24 from 4.2 overs. In-form Rony Taluykdar failed to make an impact as he was bowled out by Farhad Reza for just 1 run.
A third-wicket partnership of 69 from 83 balls between Shamsur Rahman and Bipul Sharma saw them reach 93 before the Mohammedan innings suffered from quick loss of wickets.
Mohammedan kept losing wickets in regular intervals and were eventually bowled out for 167 in 34.5 overs.
Sharifullah picked up three wickets while Delwar Hossain, Ratul Ferdous and Farhad Reza picked two wickets each for Mohammedan.
