Sabbir's double offence
Rangpur Riders players Mohammad Shahzad and Liam Dawson, and Rajshahi Kings batsman Sabbir Rahman have all been found guilty of breaching the BCB Code of Conduct during the teams' Bangladesh Premier League match in Mirpur on Monday.
Sabbir was also punished for an off-field incident along with national bowler Al-Amin Hossain, which has cost him 30 per cent of his tournament contract. Al-Amin was fined 50 per cent of his tournament contract.
Shahzad and Sabbir were involved in on-field altercations during Rajshahi's 49-run win.
Shahzad was found to have violated Article 2.1.1 of the BCB Code of Conduct and fined 30 per cent of his match fees. Additionally, four demerit points have been added to Shahzad's disciplinary record, meaning he is banned from Rangpur's next two matches.
Sabbir was fined 15 per cent of his match fees, having been found guilty of a Level 1 (Article 2.1.1) offense. Dawson was fined 30 per cent of his match fees for showing dissent. All three admitted their offences before the match referee after the match.
