Taylor returns after Zimbabwe hiatus
Zimbabwe cricketer Brendon Taylor returned to the Zimbabwe setup after a gap of two and a half years.
In his final innings, the former Zimbabwe captain struck a smashing 110-ball 138 against India during the 2015 ICC World Cup. He is most likely to feature for Zimbabwe when West Indies visit in October for a Test series.
“I am elated to have Brendan Taylor back in a Zimbabwe jersey,” said Heath Streak, the Zimbabwe coach. “We welcome him back and we are looking forward to him making a big difference for us and spending the rest of his playing career in his country of birth.”
Following the 2015 World Cup, Taylor joined Nottinghamshire, where he found immediate success. He was the first cricketer to score twin-centuries in his first two games for the club.
According to icc-cricket.com, the cricketer ended his contract with Nottinghamshire ahead of schedule and returned to his country to spend time with his wife and children.
