Tendulkar's autobiography makes bestselling record
Former Indian cricket star Sachin Tendulkar continues to make records even after retiring from cricket as his autobiography 'Playing It My Way' enters the Limca Book of Records for being the best-selling adult hardback across both fiction and non-fiction categories.
Published by Hachette India, the book, co-authored by Boria Majumdar, was released on November 6, 2014 and has reportedly broken all records with over one hundred thousand copies being confirmed on order subscriptions, reports the Times of India.
The book's orders on day one saw it pulling ahead of both pre-order and lifetime sales of the world's top adult hardbacks-- Dan Brown's Inferno, Walter Issacson's Steve Jobs and JK Rowling's Casual Vacancy.
It also holds the record in retail value terms having logged up Rs 13.51 crore with its cover price being Rs 899.
