Bangladesh bowled out for 194
Bangladesh were bowled out for 194 in 48.3 overs by Sri Lanka in the semifinal of the Under-19 Asia Cup at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo today.
Batting first on winning the toss, Bangladesh made a decent start and looked on course for a healthy total as they reached 164 for four after 38 overs. However, wickets started tumbling in the next few overs as the men in red and green lost their last six wickets for just 28 runs.
There were starts from most of the top order Bangladesh batsmen, but none of them could contribute with a telling score and there was hardly any significant partnership. Rayan Rafsan Rahman's 38 and Afif Hossain's 36 were the highest of the innings.
Left-arm spinner Praveen Jayawickrama proved to be the wrecker-in-chief as he ran through the Bangladesh lower order, scalping four for only 35 runs in his ten overs.
Scores In Brief:
Bangladesh 194 all out in 48.3 overs (Rayan 38, Afif 36, Saif 26, Rakib 22; Jayawickrama 4-25, Weerasingha 3-29)
