Walsh all but official
It is understood that the necessary paperwork has long been done and dusted. Now the wait is for the joint statement from both parties -- former West Indies captain Courtney Walsh and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
The flight is yet to be booked for Walsh's arrival to the city, but a statement may come very soon and make the news that the West Indian great will become Bangladesh's next coach public. And if everything goes according to plan, the 53-year old will be signed for the job until the 2019 World Cup.
This will be Walsh's his first major coaching role and according to sources in the BCB, the Kingston-native will not only work with the Tigers, but the BCB also plans to have him be involved with young talents.
Walsh's stint with the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) expired after West Indies' two-match T20 series against India. So it seems that the announcement about time his new job in Bangladesh is imminent.
