De Gea sent home from Euros
Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea has reportedly been sent home from the European Championships in France, reports indicated.
If true, it means that the Manchester United stopper, who was due to be his nation’s number one for the tournament after dethroning Iker Casillas as Spain’s main man between the sticks, will play no further part in the tournament.
The 25-year-old was implicated in a sexual assault case alongside Athletic Bilbao keeper Iker Muniain.
He was accused of rape of rape by a protected witness in a Spanish court case, who identified de Gea as being involved and Muniain as an assailant.
