8-wicket win for Doleshwar
Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club, which finished second last year, made an emphatic to this season’s campaign by thumping Cricket Coaching School (CCS) by eight wickets at the BKSP-3 in Savar.
CCS, a newly promoted side which is dominated by players from Bangladesh’s under-19 team, were bundled out for 177 in 49.2 overs. Bangladesh Under-19 teammates were the chief contributers for CCS. Pinak Ghosh scored 35 while Saeed Sarker posted 34. Neither batsmen though were able to make the most of their starts and as a result, CCS were bowled out for 177.
After the exchange, Prime Doleshwar opener Imtiaz Hossain played a cautious century to ensure that they reach home. He scored a 100 off 140 balls in an innings which witnessed 12 fours. Rony Talukdar, who was the highest run-scorer of the Dhaka Premier League last season made a good start this year as well as he posted 47. They finished one 181 for 2 in 45.2 overs
