Hockey federation’s vice president Milu killed in road crash

Mirza Farid Ahmed Milu, vice president of Bangladesh Hockey Federation, was killed in a road accident in Dhaka this afternoon.

A bus hit him when he was crossing a road at Uttara around 3:30pm, Yousuf Ali, joint secretary of the federation, told The Daily Star.

Milu was rushed to the capital’s Apollo Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 5:30pm.

Born in 1945, Milu also served the federation as its general secretary from 1984-88.
